Maddison Whitfield

Bio

I’m Maddison, a film-loving dog mom in Queens. I have been a movie lover since early childhood. Grew up watching the same VHS tapes in my mother’s back office during my elementary school years. Storytelling has always had a strong hold on my heart. It is passion, power, vulnerability, a glue that holds humans together. I am a proud video editor, production sound mixer, physical film inspector yes…the white glove kind and I also run forthelovemovies.com.

I’ve been able to work on a variety of projects from commercials to 360 VR shoots, short films, MTV shows, music videos, and more. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve been able to work more with younger people as well. This has only cemented my understanding of the importance of creative expression. I hope to be in more environments where I can encourage young people to find their voice and remind them they have the power to share it if they so choose. I now run a local movie streaming service that shows movies in various small shops around Queens. With the ambition to one day own and operate my own movie theater. I hope to build a warm, welcoming, communal space for other story lovers to escape to and find peace in. Stories will always be important, and I know I will always want to be one of the voices that encourages people to see the importance of them.
