Film Inspector
I’ve been trained in film inspection and preservation at one of the world’s largest film archives, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts’ Moving Image Archives. I learned from industry professionals how to properly handle, inspect, repair, and store movie reels, from an archive that houses a collection of 16,500 original feature film prints on 70mm.
UNCSA’s film archives have been involved in supporting high-profile film projects, such as the 70mm projection of the 2023 film Oppenheimer. It provides a unique resource for learning about and experiencing film preservation and projection techniques.
